This is a 8 diameter, hard plexiglass diffuser that snaps onto the front of any light fixture that has a 8 parabolic reflector. Three retractable metal clasps make it possible. The space between the reflector and the diffuser allows heat from the light to escape. Recommended maximum wattage: 250 Watts
